Ken Phillips founded Harbor Master, Inc. in 1988. Ken has loved and worked with boats since he was a child.

As Harbor Master, Inc. has expanded, the staff exhibits the same love and respect for boats. Those involved with the company and the factory certified technicians work with the same respect for the customers and boats that Ken has always valued.

Harbor Master, Inc. is known throughout the South and the entire east coast. Ken’s knowledge, reputation and ethics are respected internationally. As a result, boat owners from all over the world have come to Harbor Master, Inc. often because they have heard of the company’s reputation, or sometimes as a last resort requesting help where others were not able to fix the problem. Harbor Master, Inc. has a proven history of success.

What We Do

Harbor Master, Inc. offers customers an annual review of all systems serviced. Our highly recommended annual service can be combined with a separate maintenance contract. Ken believes a loved and sea worthy boat deserves to be carefully cared for. Crisis and emergencies can and should be kept to a minimum. Safety is always the highest priority.

Harbor Master, Inc.’s reputation for excellent work, fairness and honesty has helped the company to continually expand. However, each valued customer is treated as if they are the only one who matters.

About Ken Phillips

Ken Phillips, founder and president of Harbor Master, Inc., is unique in the world of boating. Ken is a decorated Vietnam Vet, college-educated and successful entrepreneur in multiple professions. However, the boating world is in his blood. Given his DNA, he suspects that a touch of seafaring Viking history has part of his soul.

Brooklyn born, Philadelphia raised, he spent summers on the Chesapeake where he loved and gravitated to all water activities. The boating world kept calling to him and eventually, he made boats his life work. He is committed to keeping America’s waters safe and clean for you and your family.

Ken is nationally known as an educator, speaker and the “go to” person when something boating related is amiss. Although Ken is in high demand, he promptly responds to clients needs.

Harbor Master, Inc. has been repairing yachts along the Low Country coast for over 30 years. Our team offers factory authorized sales and service for Dometic Sanitation and Spot Zero water systems. We’re also a servicing dealer for Raritan Engineering and Headhunter. We are experts at repairs of AC and DC electrical systems. Harbor Master, Inc. works with all modern vessels as well as specializing in updating seasoned yachts and sailing vessels.
